Hey all! We wanted to give you a deeper look into one of our unique Terafyn creatures…the vex!
Vexes are one of our favorite species in Terafyn. When thinking about the fauna in this world, we wanted to have a creature that was beast-like in appearance but also known to take on the properties of the world and its surroundings; i.e., something like a chameleon but larger, scarier and much more adaptable in a fantasy world. We also wanted them to be less pack-like, as wolves would be, and actually be lone hunters, rarely allied with other creatures, that use their adaptation abilities to their advantage in battle.
Vexes are one of the oldest kinds of beasts in Terafyn and can be classified in different ways depending on the habitat in which you may find them. Given the legacy of the vex in the Terafyn, we also see them as much more intelligent creatures versus what their appearances may imply to the player, which could also mean that they could be a potential ally to the player as they journey through the world.
